The Kern family has pledged $10 million dollars to the Medical College of Wisconsin, the largest, single private gift in the colleges history - to develop devices for detecting and treating disease.  This gift will be housed in the Biotechnology and Bioengineering Center, for research conducted in the Biotechnology Innovation Center, under the direction of Dr. Andrew Greene.
