Dr. Tetsuro Wakatsuki, an Assistant Professor of Physiology and faculty member in the Biotechnology and Bioengineering Center received a Junior Faculty Award for his posters at the recent Medical College of Wisconsin Research Day. Dr. Wakatsuki's winning posters included, "Engineered Heart Tissues: A Novel Paradigm for Investigating Genomics Influences on Cardiac Diseases" (click here to view poster) and "Preconditioning with Isoflurane Delays Mitchondrial Permeability Transition Pore Opening by Depolarizing Mitochondria" (click here to view poster). He was recognized at the Convocation on September 16th.
