Cancer Biotechnology

The Biotechnology and Bioengineering Center invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant, associate, or professor level in the area of cancer biotechnology. We seek individuals who are interested in working as part of a multidisciplinary team comprised of clinicians and basic scientists working toward the development and/or utilization of novel state-of-the-art technologies for the diagnosis, treatment, or understanding of basic mechanisms in cancer.

The ideal candidate should have a strong record of research experience in the area of technology development with a proven track record, including publications and extramural funding. The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, tumor biology, cell biology, biotechnology, or related field.

The candidate will also be expected to establish a vigorous research program and participate in teaching at the graduate level. This position is part of a campus-wide initiative that emphasizes the interface between molecular genetics, imaging sciences, and clinical practice.

The Biotechnology and Bioengineering Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin has a dynamic faculty with excellent laboratory space in a brand-new, state-of the art research building, and easy access to animal facilities. Excellent opportunities exist for collaboration with faculty across the Medical College as well as the Blood Center of Wisconsin, and other nearby institutions, such as UW-Madison, Marquette University or UW-Milwaukee.
